With a history going back 2,200 years, Hangzhou is one of China’s seven ancient capitals and today is the capital city of Zhejiang Province on the east coast of China. The city is renowned as the Paradise on Earth due to its beautiful natural scenery, the three World Heritage Sites of West Lake, the Great Canal and Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City, and rich cultures such as Land of Fish and Rice, Capital of silk and Origin of Longjing Tea. Hangzhou is also the host city for the 2016 G20 Hangzhou summit, the eleventh meeting of the Group of Twenty (G20) and the 19th Asian Games held in 2023. For this upcoming meeting, Zhejiang University warmly welcomes all participants and will provide significant support and coordination to make 7th ICBPI a great success.
